  • A note from France: Kahoy-- the Filipino word for wood. Hand-crafted by wood carvers in Bulacan, Philippines and ethically sourced through Acacia Creations, this Acacia Kahoy Trays are perfect for serving snacks or as catch-all trays for trinkets.  Growing up in the Philippines, I was constantly exposed to beautiful wood pieces whether as furniture, decor, or an architectural feature. Often, these pieces are made in small batches by amazing artisans whose skills are passed down from one generation to the next. Along with my preference for small batch handmade things, sustainability and social impact are also of utmost importance to me and sometimes, these values are difficult to navigate together. Small batch products from across the Pacific also mean more carboon footprint in terms of frequency of shipping. So when I stumbled upon Acacia Creations in my search for quality, artisinal pieces, I just knew I had to carry their pieces. A business founded on values of fair trade practices and more- providing jobs and training to their artisans and giving back to artisan communities through education and healthcare initiatives, I am excited to share their work with you.
